Age and Educational Requirements for a Student Visa

Tier 4 Child Student visa applicants must be aged between 4 and 17. Applicants aged between 4 and 15 can only apply to study at independent fee-paying schools.

Student Visa

The educational institution must hold a Tier 4 sponsor licence and it must issue a CAS (confirmation of acceptance for studies) for the applicant. It is possible to apply for a Tier 4 Student visa from outside the UK or, in some circumstances, from in the UK, typically when the applicant wishes to continue with their studies.

Travel, Living, and Financial Arrangements for a tier four visa

Applicants must have in place suitable arrangements for their travel to the UK, if relevant, and suitable arrangements for living in the UK. They must also show that there are sufficient funds available for them. Additionally, they must demonstrate that they have sufficient funds available to support themselves during their stay. These requirements ensure that the students are well-prepared and financially secure while pursuing their education in the UK.
