Although a Student Visitor visa is a visa that allows the migrant to study it is not part of  Tier 4 points-based system and the requirements are less complicated.

There is no CAS (confirmation of acceptance of studies) requirement.

Applicants for a Student Visitor visa must be aged 18 or over, and they must have been offered a short course in the UK for up to six months or, if the course is an English language course, for up to 11 months.

They cannot extend their visa beyond this. They must also show that there are sufficient funds to maintain them in the UK.

Student Visitors cannot bring dependants with them to the UK.
